ALICE'S CAMP - Lakeside Serenity in Vacationland Maine
The Story of Alice's Camp

The story begins with friendship and continues to this day with love & family. The friendship was between two young nurses; one went off to war, the other found her true love. Alice was an American POW in the South Pacific. When she returned to freedom, she only found peace at a lakeside cabin in her native Maine. All the while Anne married Frank and lived happily until a car accident took her life. Eventually, through a series of letters, Alice and Frank fell in love. They shared a wonderful life together in Brooklyn and Maine until Alice's untimely death from cancer. Frank, heartbroken and alone once more, locked the cabin and never entered it again. Years later Frank's family unlocked the door and renovated the cabin in memory of Alice and Frank. We've restored the property to the spirit and serenity that first drew Alice there all those years ago.
